Diggory Town is a continuum of space that exists outside of time. It is the place where souls are created before they are birthed into the World of People. An evil creature has found his way into Diggory Town intent on destroying it; if he succeeds, humanity will end. What a great book! I love book that takes you to another world and this one definitely does. Diggory Town is an incredible place and I loved all of the characters, good and bad. I can't wait for the next one to be published.
Fun book! I really loved the two worlds and how they intertwine. Kind of like Harry Potter meets Narnia. I also love how each character has a special gift that leads them through their journey. A story of love, family bond, and courage... and plenty of danger and suspense. Great story for adults and kids alike! Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
Loved this charming story! The power of family bonds. Discovering your natural gifts. It's a fantasy adventure full of life's lessons and morals. An excellent book for younger readers looking for an adventurous tale!
We absolutely loved this book! Extremely imaginative with excellent character development. Did not plan on having our 10 year old read this, but she found the book in my office and dove in! She shared that she learned some interesting lessons about fear through reading this book - that you want to be respectful of risk but not paralyzed by it. High recommend this book to anyone who wants be transported to another world when they are reading Diggory Town!
Really fun read and interesting book. I loved the story portrayed and the creative differences between the two worlds. A perfect book for a young reader to the likes of Harry Potter. Highly recommend the book!
I really enjoyed reading it. I was surprised by what happens to a couple of the characters. I am curious what adventures the next book is going to take us on because this one took us on a few & introduced us to many likeable characters & some not so likeable. Especially the main villain. I would reccomend having your children read this also. It shows a mother & grandmother's love for her children. Loved it!!
If Magic peeks your interest, then this is a great read for you! I am not usually a reader of this sort though someone suggested this book to me and I am glad they did. I enjoyed sailing thru the two different worlds on a magic rug and anxious to learn of the next adventure or lesson. The creativity and imagination of this author makes you hope there will be more adventures to come. I purchased this book for my nieces during the Christmas holiday since they are big Harry Potter fans and they commented that 'I hope you give us Volume 2 next Christmas'. Enjoy this treasure!
